Account Deletion

Car Manager lets you delete your account at any time. Deletion happens in two phases: a 90-day retention window during which you can cancel, followed by anonymization of your personal data.
How to start deletion
- Open Car Manager (mobile app or https://dev.carmanager.cc).
- Sign in → Profile → “Delete account”.
- Confirm with your password.
- Email confirmation arrives within minutes.

The 90-day retention window
- Sessions are invalidated immediately on every device.
- We send reminder emails at 7, 30, 60 and 80 days before final deletion.
- You can log in again any time during this window to cancel deletion (Profile → “Cancel deletion”).
What gets deleted after 90 days
- Email, profile photo and password are erased. Your display name remains attached to past shifts and expenses you logged so your former team can still read their reports.
- Sessions, push subscriptions, in-app notifications and your personal vehicle claims are permanently removed.
- Organizations where you were a member (not the sole owner): vehicles, expenses, shifts and service records remain in the organization unchanged so co-owners and other members keep their reports intact.
- Organizations where you were the sole owner: ownership transfers to an anonymous placeholder so the data survives, and vehicles stay in the organization with their VIN and license plate preserved — this keeps the service history reachable by VIN if a future owner of a car wants to look up its records.
What we keep longer (and why)
- Billing records: 7 years — tax obligation.
- Sentry crash diagnostics: 90 days.
- Activity logs: 12 months.
